Other notable events:
- His IV was moved from his foot to his hand so he is mobile again
- Doctors are gradually lowering his dosage of pain killers
- He was able to take a walk in the Stanford Hospital garden and sit in the sun
- Physical Therapist gave him excercises to rehabilitate his elbow and arms
He will be able to eat anything that Adi can fit through a straw. Adi's mom made a good old fashioned batch of Chicken Soup and he also had some of a Jamba Juice today. Guy said he was open to just about anything in his Jamba Juice except for Bananas or Strawberries. Ethan and Tim - better bring the juicer quick! The hospital room was quite lively today as the GuyPod was connected to some external speakers so everyone could enjoy the music.
Adi is planning on bringing Shira to the hospital for her first visit with Daddy. Guy should be able to have visitors again after 6:00 pm this evening.

good evening.
i was very happy to hear from mom the good news, and i was even happier to see the news in the blog's headlines, so now all your worried friends can get some good news too.
what's the issue with the strawberry and banana flavors? you prefer all the berry family instead? what is wrong with you?
well, it's 2 a.m. over here and i'm still studying so have a nice evening, i'm sure you will since shira is coming to visit you

Hi Guy, my brother,
This is the last day of my short Californian/ Stanford hospital excursion. The sunshine is a bliss but finding a good steak house for lunch at 3pm is impossible (That is just inconceivable for New Yorkers).
I had the honor of meeting some great friends of yours from work and outside of it. I can honestly say I leave you here in very good hands, so no guilt feelings on my part (well, maybe just a tinge). The most exciting experience I shared with you here at the hospital was sleeping by your side and waking up every thirty minutes or so to help you wipe your mouth, feed you water through a syringe or simply watch you as you fall asleep. The other phenomenal experience I remember has you and Shira together in your hospital bed as she plays and sings songs for you.
Watching her and you is like seeing magic for the first time.
Guy, I want to hear you when you say your first full sentence (Secret: last night Guy said "water" and I was the only one to hear it), I want to be around when you make your first shoulder movement, I want to see you pick Shira up in your bionic arms, and I want to have dinner with you as you pick those utensils and start working on the steak you barbeque on your grill.
However, those wishes would have to be put on hold, at least for the time being. As cold as New York is right now, I cannot freeze my life as I have work to do, and a wedding to plan. It is comforting to know, though, that you'll make strides in your recovery and the next time we meet, be it soon (in April or May) or on my bachelor's party (in June) I will make sure we catch up on all the challenging yet wonderful first-step-like-experiences you had gone through.
Love you,
Asaph.
What a great update. It was a beautiful day to be outside. I'm glad that you were able to enjoy it.
I highly recommend carrot/orange juice for a sweet treat.
I met with Heather on Saturday for breakfast and she told me more about her visit with you last week. It's encouraging to hear more hope and joy each day. My thoughts are with you and your family.
My best,
~Kim Proctor

Hi Guy!
What a great post!
We are happy to hear of your speedy recovery, and hope that soon you can eat a nice m-rare steak instead of OJ...
Take care,

Wow! That's fantastic news! i'm glad to hear that you can be outside in the sun. Whata nice image. Good news: our son was born on Friday night. Quite amazing! I was surprised, I thought it was going to be a girl. I can't wait for you two to see him. :-)
I hope all is going well!
Cheers,
Matthew
ps. Is the Dr. still good to keep your mouth wired shut for that 4th week?! :-)
Hi Guy,
I just caught up on your blog. Great to read about your progress! Also great and amazing to see the outpouring from your many friends and family. Your strength and courage throughout your ordeal are truly inspirational. Keep up the great work. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.
Best wishes,
Scott Leahy
Guy,
It was great seeing you on Sunday. Sorry if I droned on and on about work. If there is something else you want to hear about next time we come in, let me know. :)
And I will drop by Jamba Juice for you. Any favorite flavors?
Deb

Hey Guy,
I know you're going to look back on this period in the future and reflect on all you've learned and gained...keep you spirit high and be encouraged each day thru tough moments and pains. We're all thinking of you often...and I know you're surrounded by lovely family and friends.
Let me tell you...you're not missing anything at PayPal!!! Same old stuff... ;-)
Warm regards,
James Chung
It sounds (reads) like you are doing better. I will be in town this weekend F-M, and I'll come by and visit. I'll check this site for the best time. Can I bring some Jamba Juice or some other goodies?
Hello Guy,
I am glad I’d the opportunity of spending some time with you yesterday evening. It is getting brighter and sunnier outside and I hope and pray that you get to go home and be out in the sun more often really soon.
It was fun talking to you. When you mentioned the name of the project that I’ve been working on, and asked how it is progressing, I couldn’t have been more amazed. Your enquiries about the well-being and ramp-up of our team in Chennai were heartwarming. Your high spirits, positive’ness and courage are inspiringly infectious.
I was touched when you wanted to shake hands before I left. The strength in your grip left no doubt in my mind about the amazing pace of your recovery.
On my drive back home, I was replaying our conversation in my head and I realized that I’d perhaps lost my only opportunity to talk more than you in a 1:1 conversation with you.
And, Thank you Adi, for your strength and smiles.
~Harpal
ps. I am glad that you liked the carrot juice from Jamba Juice.
