Following Guy's 3rd major surgery yesterday, he needed a day to rest and gather strength. He was in a lot of pain last night and his family requested a light day of visits. If you are planning on stopping by the hospital tomorrow (Sunday) please check the blog first or contact Jerry Smith (408) 768-6804 to make sure Guy is up for having visitors.
From all accounts from his doctors, the surgery yesterday was successful in repairing his shoulder.
Guy, we all hope you can get a good night's sleep....

Hi Guy
Talk to your parents yesterday, happy to hear that you'r done with the cutting and stitching.
Wishing you a speedy recovery.
Guy,
The theater group had a socializing meeting yesterday (Saturday) with our sposes, and we had Mazi updating us about you, after she met your mom (hey, she didn't even know her son is making fool of himeself with bunch of crazy people!!!). We really missed you and Adi!
We all send you a big hug and warm wishes and would love to see you real soon performing your Rocky Horror show song. I am sure you are now ready to add some more of your own characteristics to that movie character. We promise to throw rice on you and hold candles!!!
I, by the way, started working in SF (remember that interview I had the day after we had the meeting with the new members? well, I got the job...yeah...) so my free time is reduced to minus zero, but I'd love to see you ASAP and will wait for a green light from your loving gatekeepers, who seem to do a wonderful job.
The turmoil the theater group had gone through before your accident sure got into a perspective after that, and reading about your strong fight gives us all the strenght to move on. We'll resume our meetings on Wednesdays 7:30pm with Ben our new director, and will wait for you to join us at any minute (is your room big enough to accommodate 12 people? Maybe we could run our sessions over there?)
Be strong, young man!

Guy,
It was so good seeing you today. I think you're looking great! I was thrilled to hear you were able to go out for a short walk today and enjoy the sunshine. Seems like you're firmly on the road to recovery.
Keep it up!

Hi Guy, my brother,
This is the last day of my short Californian/ Stanford hospital excursion. The sunshine is a bliss but finding a good steak house for lunch at 3pm is impossible (That is just inconceivable for New Yorkers).
I had the honor of meeting some great friends of yours from work and outside of it. I can honestly say I leave you here in very good hands, so no guilt feelings on my part (well, maybe just a tinge). The most exciting experience I shared with you here at the hospital was sleeping by your side and waking up every thirty minutes or so to help you wipe your mouth, feed you water through a syringe or simply watch you as you fall asleep. The other phenomenal experience I remember has you and Shira together in your hospital bed as she plays and sings songs for you.
Watching her and you is like seeing magic for the first time.
Guy, I want to hear you when you say your first full sentence (Secret: last night Guy said "water" and I was the only one to hear it), I want to be around when you make your first shoulder movement, I want to see you pick Shira up in your bionic arms, and I want to have dinner with you as you pick those utensils and start working on the steak you barbeque on your grill.
However, those wishes would have to be put on hold, at least for the time being. As cold as New York is right now, I cannot freeze my life as I have work to do, and a wedding to plan. It is comforting to know, though, that you'll make strides in your recovery and the next time we meet, be it soon (in April or May) or on my bachelor's party (in June) I will make sure we catch up on all the challenging yet wonderful first-step-like-experiences you had gone through.
Love you,
Asaph.
